We are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Manager to work with a range of Mitie clients to manage the service delivery for Streetlighting, PAT and Fixed Wire Testing services
You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety, understand and be able to work to building statutory requirements and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
You should have a full, current, driving license, be IT literate for record keeping, have good customer service skills, be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.
The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance within the construction sector, or similar, and be qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 17th or 18th edition.
Note : All offers will be subject to candidates passing DBS and SC Clearance
To manage the delivery of a range of planned, reactive and project works within Streetlighting, PAT and Fixed Wire Testing services.
To work collaboratively with the client, engineering and support teams to meet all contract requirements, KPI's and deliver exceptional customer service.
Maximise utilisation of Archibus to manage service delivery, record retention and reliability of management report data.
Take a proactive approach to driving continual improvement through innovation to improve quality, efficiency and process
To carry out regular task audits to provide safety and quality assurance.
Ensure adequate pre job briefs, supervision arrangements, workface inspections, quality assurance and LFE is completed throughout team operations.
To ensure all subcontractors engaged to deliver services are managed in accordance with Mitie and client procedures
To ensure that teams have the capability and training to deliver a first-class service on time and to the agreed specification.
To assist management with all reasonable requests and undertake additional duties in line with capabilities
Qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 17th or 18th edition.
Testing & Inspection - 2391 qualification
Must have existing or previous experience being Nominated Person under Sellafield electrical arrangements
Experienced in preparing Risk Assessments
Commercial understanding
Must have ability to professionally liaise with client respresentatives and management.
Good general knowledge of health and safety, facilities services and operational practices would be advantageous.
Sound understanding of nuclear site procedures and practices
Good time management skills
Computer literacy is desirable.
Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system
