About the Role
The Car Colour Services Delivery Driver & Warehouse Assistant works as part of the team to deliver excellent customer service and support the smooth flow of goods inwards and outwards. You will maintain an organised, clean, and safe warehouse environment, as well as taking, picking, and delivering orders.
You are organised, enthusiastic and willing to learn the systems and processes in order to be successful in the role. You will be a friendly and approachable individual, with a positive outlook who is keen to support the business during a period of growth. Building and maintaining customer relationships is important, as you will look after customers from across the business. A proactive approach to change is key.
Responsibilities
1. Picking orders for delivery, ensuring they are correct and complete
2. Using the ordering system to generate invoices
3. Loading and unloading vehicles, using manual handling techniques
4. Scheduling daily routes
5. Completing daily deliveries, which involves driving
6. Taking sales orders from customers and ensuring they are fulfilled
7. Communicating and building strong relationships with customers
8. Ensuring the company van is kept in a clean condition
9. Highlighting any maintenance and repairs required on the company van
Any time not spent as a Delivery Driver involves stepping into the Warehouse Assistant role, which includes:
1. Receiving, checking, and receipting deliveries, including assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles using manual handling techniques
2. Using the stock management system
3. Ensuring deliveries are correct and complete, highlighting issues promptly to the supplier
4. Putting stock in its appropriate place
5. Checking stock levels and highlighting shortages
6. Checking for and highlighting stock errors
7. Keeping the warehouse maintained, organised, clean and tidy
8. Interacting with customers as required
We also expect that you will:
1. Consistently work to good standards of health and safety
2. Undertake projects as directed by line management
3. Complete other ad hoc duties as and when required

1. The majority of this role involves driving, so a full driving licence is essential
