Role:
We are looking for someone with a background in finance to help us to ensure the oversight and sound management of the charity’s finances. We are looking for a Treasurer who will join the trustees in ensuring that Cromer Artspace is managing its finances well, planning for the future, and is meeting its legal and financial responsibilities. We will also need our Treasurer to help us to keep our financial records, pay our bills and produce financial reports for the Trustees, and other interested parties. Ideally we are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of finance in the Arts sector, but we would welcome applications from anyone with a background in finance and bookkeeping who is interested in art and who can help us to ensure that we are managing our finances well. We will arrange for training in Charity Finance, if needed.
Time commitment:
Approximately 8 hours per month, including preparation for, and attendance at, one Committee meeting per month. Plus regular contact with the Trustees.
About the organisation:
Cromer Artspace aims to engage and inspire the local community with art in public places, encouraging audience engagement and participation by increasing the understanding of the arts. We aim to be fresh and outward looking, supporting artists and bringing works and events of quality and imagination to Cromer. Cromer Artspace will enable projects which increase accessibility, support local businesses and help the arts to become valued as a vital part of local life.
