Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist-Neurology
Join to apply for the Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist-Neurology role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern of Mon-Fri 9-5.
The post holder will work with the Epilepsy team lead and other epilepsy nurses in the management of epilepsy in children and young people. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing support to children and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.
2. Managing epilepsy via the epilepsy nurse telephone service.
3. Drawing up individual seizure management plans for use in hospital and community settings.
4. Providing training for families, education, and social work staff.
5. Advocating for children and their families, promoting child-focused family-centered care.
6. Acting as a resource for other healthcare professionals.
