Accounts Administrator

The role, reporting to the Head of Financial Processing, focuses on supporting the smooth operation of the Finance department. The successful candidate will be experienced in accounts and general administration, responsible for monitoring, recording, reporting, and managing workload to ensure excellent service to internal and external customers within set timescales.

* Handle purchase ledger duties, including checking and matching purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices, and reconciling supplier statements, while managing queries from suppliers and staff.
* Support the Head of Financial Processing with maintaining computerized accounting systems.
* Update and maintain approved supplier and subcontractor records.
* Assist in preparing management information reports.
* Input financial data into works management and accounting software.
* Undertake credit control activities, contacting subcontractors and suppliers to resolve errors and escalate issues when necessary.
* Perform general administrative tasks like photocopying, filing, and scanning.
* Carry out other duties as necessary for contract completion and business goals.
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
What does it take?

* Excellent numerical skills
* Ability to handle confidential information sensitively
* Multitasking skills
* Experience with Purchase & Sales Ledger
* Knowledge of Access Accounting Software (desirable)
* GCSE Maths & English Grade C / Grade 4 or above (desirable)
Working arrangements
We offer flexible and remote working options where roles allow. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model from our Sheffield office.
