Fire and Security Engineer
Location: Cornwall and Plymouth
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000
Are you experienced in Fire & Security Service and Installation and looking for a new opportunity with an established company based in the South West? This could be your chance.
I am looking for a service engineer to join the team in St Austell. Working alone or with other engineers within the team of motivated multi-disciplined engineers, you will provide professional and dependable quality service to our customers, maintaining and installing a mix of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems, and fire extinguishers in a timely, professional manner throughout Cornwall and Plymouth.
Requirements:
1. Significant experience as a multi-disciplined fire & security engineer.
2. Experience of Advanced, Apollo, CTec, Hochiki amongst other fire alarm systems preferred.
3. Experience of networked access control systems such as TDSi, Gallagher, Paxton, and audio & video entry systems preferred.
4. Experience of intruder alarms and the relevant NSI codes of practice.
5. Strong IT skills and understanding of networks and network connected devices.
6. Knowledge of fire extinguisher servicing preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Servicing and repairs on various security systems including Advanced, Apollo and Hochiki, Texecom, Galaxy, Menvier, Hikvision, TDSi, Integra, Paxton, Gallagher.
2. Servicing and installation of fire extinguishers.
3. Completing necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner through electronic engineer reporting diary.
4. Attend reactive calls and breakdowns and perform general maintenance work including tracing and rectification of faults.
5. Participate in an on-call rota (one in seven).
