Company Overview: Join a small international broking company, part of a larger global group. The company operates as an introducing broker rather than an interdealer broker.
This role is well-suited for a confident, outgoing individual with strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure. The position demands considerable responsibility from an early stage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop an understanding of commodity markets, origins, and trade flows.
* Learn contract terms, trade and shipping terms, and documentation requirements.
* Support senior brokers in client interactions and negotiations.
* Assist in contract execution and operations.
* Conduct market sector analysis and provide reports to management.
* Develop new leads and initiate contact with potential clients.
* Shadow brokers and gradually take on broking responsibilities under supervision.
* Handle dispute resolution processes when required.
* Maintain strong client relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly.
* Travel at short notice when necessary.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience in a relevant field).
* Strong IT knowledge.
* GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at grade B/6 or higher (or equivalent).
* Prior experience in related fields is required for the Broker position but not for the Trainee Broker role.
