The EEU is a new Unit formed to support the identification, support and facilitation of research, innovation and enterprise activity at the University. The Enquiries team within EEU will be the first point of contact for our ‘front door model’, for enquirers and as such you will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of what the university can offer and how we can support enquirers. As part of the Research and Enterprise Service, EEU contributes to the delivery of the University’s strategic objectives particularly in relation research and knowledge exchange. The enquiries team within EEU will have specific responsibility for capturing enquiries, logging them on our CRM system and then triaging them to determine their flow through the organisation ensuring that enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner. This role will provide general administrative support to deliver these activities. The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of current administrative/clerical practices in a busy office environment and experience of customer service, organising, updating and maintaining accurate computerised records and files. An ability to organise and present information both verbally and in writing is required along with experience of working in an environment with a high degree of customer contact. You will work closely with other members of the administrative and academic team, as required. The successful applicants will also have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning and the ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. A collaborative approach to working and a commitment to continuous improvement is also an essential component of the role.
