Position overview: This position will develop, deploy, implement and manage a lean based Manufacturing excellence model to ensure standardization, operational excellence and significant value across specific region (EMEA). Manufacturing Excellence Specialist will support and manage key assignments and improvement efforts as needed including deployment strategy, planning, training, coaching, problem solving, project management, people development and resource development. Key responsibilities include: Facilitates change and supports deployment, adoption and sustainment of Lean thinking and a standard Lean-Based Management System within specific Ball region (EMEA) Identify, clarify, and resolve barriers to achieving operational excellence in Manufacturing plants/Regional production groups. Lead multiple strategic and operational improvement projects from identification, inception, and analysis to implementation and sustainable execution that delivers Manufacturing cost savings. Drive successful evolution of and execution on Manufacturing Excellence Model to be the most competitive in cost, quality and service by continually driving for efficiencies in our processes. Deliver on the organizations priorities, working closely with leadership in defining, scoping, launching, and implementing new initiatives. Collaborate with decision makers and stakeholders to minimize risk. Facilitates and makes complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and uses a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the specific Ball Region manufacturing team. Manage risk by effectively and clearly communicating project effort, progress, achievements, problems and failures on a timely basis. Facilitate knowledge sharing by initiating best practice sharing and benchmarking within the Hub and outwardly to the Region by liaising with the other Sub-Regional CI Leaders. What are we looking for? - Technical qualification to degree level or/and relevant working experience in executing Lean methodologies in Manufacturing industry - Lean Six Sigma (desirable black belt or green belt) - Deliver results through influencing and motivating others Can manage people and projects remotely - Excellent understanding of CI concepts, including, Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, Project Management and Problem-Solving concepts - Able to design, develop and monitor KPIs aligned to implemented projects while communicating horizontally and vertically - Can flex style to effectively interact with different audiences (from senior leadership to shopfloor) - Fluent English language Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
