We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will provide inspiring leadership to help achieve excellence in terms of students’ outcomes, behaviours and attitudes, and personal development in Languages at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You will lead a large, talented and committed team of French, German and Spanish teaching staff, ensuring the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils, and a personally enriching experience of professional development for staff.
Reporting to the Vice Principal, the main responsibilities for this role are:
· To lead the MFL team. This involves giving a clear vision and direction to the team, celebrating achievements, identifying key areas for improvement, and planning appropriate actions to meet them.
· To manage both the people and resources associated with each aspect of MFL and examination subjects.
· To monitor the quality of teaching and learning, liaising with other Heads of Faculty and Heads of Year and offering support and development where necessary.
· To promote and organise extra-curricular programme for all Key Stages including liaising with external bodies.
· To promote the ethos of the school.
