We are now looking for a Trees and Landscape Officer to join our team on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday). Applications for part-time hours or flexible working arrangements will be considered.

The Role
As a Trees and Landscape Officer, you will provide expert advice on trees, woodlands, and landscape matters in relation to planning applications, Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), and conservation areas. You will work closely with Planning Officers, agents and members of our community to ensure that trees and green spaces are properly considered and safeguarded in development proposals.
About You
To be considered as a Trees Officer, you will need:
7. A relevant qualification in arboriculture, forestry, landscape management, or a related field.
8. Knowledge of tree protection legislation, planning policies, and best practices in tree and landscape management.
9. Experience in assessing tree surveys, landscape proposals, and development impacts.
10. Experience of The Hedgerow Regulations, including determining Hedgerow removal notices.
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders.
12. A commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and high-quality landscape design.
