ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Nursery Manager helps to create a safe, educational and fun environment for the children in our care. Responsibilities include supervising children, ensuring their safety, and organizing activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks. Some days may be challenging, but you'll also laugh, have fun, and make lasting memories with children during one of the most important developmental stages of their lives!

Tops Newport Nursery is a 92 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Fawley, Southampton. The nursery runs several extra-curricular activities including Before and After School Clubs, Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing, football fun, and much more! We're rated 9.6 by DayNurseries and graded OUTSTANDING by OFSTED.

ABOUT YOU
A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
Some of the primary skills we are looking for include:
1. Excellent communication skills to engage with children and converse with other staff members and parents
2. Creative skills and imagination to provide educational activities that ensure children are happy and learning in a rewarding environment
3. Positive outlook to keep children happy and build an environment where they feel secure and rewarded
4. Conduct interviews for potential applicants referred by the recruitment department
5. Develop and maintain the nursery budget
6. Arrange marketing materials
7. Monitor the condition of the facility and equipment, organizing maintenance, repairs, and new items as required
8. Update parents and carers about their child's progress and behavior
9. Answer enquiries about enrolment, payments, and practices
10. Develop and implement an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities
11. Prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections and follow inspector recommendations
