Teaching and training responsibilities (including staff development) Specific responsibility for the teaching and training of healthcare scientists on a range of training programmes including apprenticeship schemes and practitioner training programmes. Clinical supervision of respiratory physiology staff that are less skilled, for their development in both routine and specialised techniques. Continual assessment and development of trainees undertaking a range of ARTP professional qualifications. Development of assessment and supervisory skills as part of a personal development plan. Attend and participate in departmental meetings, with regard to staff training as appropriate. Professional and Self Development responsibilities Develop skills and knowledge as part of a departmental training programme, following Trust Personal Development and Review. Attend appropriate scientific and educational meetings and courses for personal skill and knowledge development and updating. Acquisition of specialist knowledge using all available resources Participate in Continued Professional Development. Research and Development responsibilities Responsible for identifying and undertaking audit of areas of service as appropriate. Regularly participates in departmental research and audit projects.
