As an International Product Copy Editor, you'll develop and maintain the customer-facing written content for our products. You will ensure content accuracy by emphasising product features whilst following corporate brand guidelines. Additionally, you'll drive the feedback from stores and colleagues to their resolution. This is a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. Check and edit written copy, bullet points and unique selling points in the Product Information Management (PIM) system, according to business style definitions, tone and search the vendors’ website and other reliable source of information Highlight the relevant product features, which will vary dependent on the category, group and sub-group the product belongs to Proofread all product content to ensure it is accurate, in line with the defined business style, tone and fit for use in the various channels Ensure consistency across existing and new SKUs, to maximise Translation Memory leverage for speed and cost purposes Escalate issues and or seek further clarity where required to protect the integrity of written copy and content before this is submitted for publication Send the created and amended SKUs for buddying, and buddy any SKUs worked upon by the other International Product Copy Editor Monitor progress by updating the appropriate trackers, and adding notes into the PIM for future reference for the various stakeholders accessing the system Liaise with other International and UK internal departments, as well as with vendors directly to ensure that product data is correctly located within the Content Management Database hierarchy and accurate Manage the Product Amendment Log (PAL/PAC), and assign the Head Office and TCs queries to the appropriate teams and follow these through to their resolution Assess validity of each PAC query, investigate, identify impact on other products/areas and decide the best course of action for resolution and escalate to your Line Manager, when necessary Progress with the content enrichment initiatives in accordance to the priorities, for an improved customer experience and content accuracy Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Proven experience in drafting, proof reading and editing documentation to a high standard is essential Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and style guides Ability to identify and summarise key points from the copy supplied Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Teamwork – ability to work and communicate with others, both in and outside the department, is essential Strong computer and keyboard skills – intermediate use of Excel and Outlook is desirable
