My client is a regional building contractor, which is in the market for a housing Senior Quantity Surveyor. They operate largely across the Greater Manchester region, working within the commercial and social housing sectors of the construction market.
Delivering a range of design and build projects in commercial and affordable housing, with typical values between £5 million and £18 million. The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor candidate will have previous design and build experience, specifically on new build social housing projects.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercially astute and involved in pricing works on selected projects. You will have ownership and accountability for delivering subcontract packages, ensuring the best possible value and profit are maintained during and upon closing project delivery. As an experienced commercial candidate, you will have the ability to work independently, managing your own workload and projects.
You will ideally have site experience working for a regional building contractor. The successful candidate will be proactive and work on their own initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage their own projects and workloads while mentoring and developing your own commercial team.
To be considered, you need to hold the following:
1. Full experience in delivering JCT or NEC forms of contract
2. Qualified to MSc or BA Hons in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
