Job Description:
Bramwith Consulting is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual for the role of Energy/Commodity Trading Development Manager / Head of Technology (C#) / Technology Transformation. This position involves managing the technology team while leading and transforming the client's technology.
This is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days per week in the London office, with the option to work 3-4 days from home. The office is open 5 days a week, allowing for full-time office attendance if preferred.
As part of the executive team, this senior position offers significant autonomy in managing time and team dynamics. You will inherit an existing team and be responsible for hiring new technologists to support technology transformation and ongoing company growth.
As one of the leading energy/commodity trading software providers in Europe, my client seeks an ambitious Head of Technology to collaborate closely with their Solutions Architect in driving this technology transformation.
You will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and are expected to be a strong:
1. Technologist with a passion for technology, especially C#. This is not a Solution Architect role, but a solid understanding of technology is necessary.
2. Technology Leader with strong people leadership skills and experience.
3. Dynamic change agent, capable of leading technological advancements and ensuring the client remains best in class.
Experience in C# development is 100% essential, with additional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud computing being ideal.
Salary: £100-140k basic + executive scheme management bonus + benefits
Key Skills & Experience:
1. 10+ years of commercial experience in software development, including 5+ years managing Development Teams.
2. Strong C# development background is essential.
3. Current Development Managers seeking advancement or existing Heads of Technology looking for new challenges are encouraged to apply.
4. Previous experience in energy or financial trading is essential, either from another software house, IT consultancy, or a trading business.
5. Experience in recruiting IT teams, training, and developing staff is highly desirable.
6. Experience in technology change and transformation is ideal.
7. A degree is preferred but not essential.
