Following our successful bid to the National Lottery Fund, and funding from the Thrive Together Veterans Voice Programme, Veterans Community Network is looking to recruit a part time wellbeing peer support mentor who will work with our beneficiaries offering low threshold activities such as gardening, crafting and other out door activities to enhance wellbeing, address mental health stigma and reduce social isolation. The successful candidate Must have lived military experience either from their own military service or being a close family member or partner of a veteran or reservist. Have an understanding of mental health stigma and how to address this with veterans so they can have improved help-seeking behaviour Have knowledge of the 5 ways to wellbeing Proficient in the use of social media Have a clean driving license and access to their own transport Have the relevant valid business car insurance, MOT and car Tax Have a satisfactory DBS check This is a work from home post but travel across Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire is essential.
