Interim Building Control Liaison Officer - SE London - £325 p/d
Your new company
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Building Control Liaison Officer to join our team on a 4-month placement. This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked as a Building Control Inspector or Officer, either for a Local Authority or an Approved Inspector organisation.
Your new role
1. Represent our company in interactions with the BSR to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
2. Conduct pre-inspections on-site to identify any non-conformities or compliance issues.
3. Carry out joint weekly inspections on-site with the BSR.
4. Liaise closely with the Senior Management Team, reporting any issues and ensuring they are rectified.
5. Review and rectify project documentation to meet BSR requirements.
6. Prepare final documentation for submission to the BSR for final sign-off.
7. Organise and complete final sign-off inspections, witness testing, and service reviews.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in building control, particularly in the role of a Building Control Inspector/Officer.
9. Ability to interact and liaise effectively with regulatory bodies such as the HSE/BSR.
10. Strong understanding of Building Regulations and compliance requirements.
11. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
12. Ability to conduct site inspections and identify non-conformities or compliance issues.
13. Experience in preparing and reviewing project documentation to meet regulatory standards.
14. Capability to organise and complete final sign-off inspections and witness testing
