Job summary This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 or Band 7 Physiotherapist to further develop their career and to become part of the Pain Management Service. You will be required to work alongside the existing Band 7 and 6 physiotherapists in the development of physiotherapy service within the Pain Management team. The Pain Management team is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn and comprises of Consultant Anaesthetists, Specialist Pain Management Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants and Health Care Assistants. In addition, there is administrative support from secretaries. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is based in the beautiful County of Norfolk with easy access to beaches and the countryside. The Pain Management Service offers a friendly, supportive work environment and is particularly known for its close multidisciplinary team working. Main duties of the job The focus of this job is the evidence based multidisciplinary management of patients affected by chronic pain, including providing specialist individual and group treatments. An approved acupuncture qualification would be beneficial but not essential. There are opportunities for professional development within the workplace, including provision of regular supervision. The Physiotherapy Service, alongside the Occupational Therapy Service, is part of an integrated Rehabilitation Service. It aims to provide a progressive, forward-thinking approach to patient care and supports staff in personal development, continued education and training.
