This Cancer Research UK (CRUK)-funded project is at the forefront of revolutionizing cancer detection, aiming to enable the identification of cancerous tumours at the earliest possible stage, ensuring timely intervention. By focusing on the design and development of cutting-edge wearable sensors and advanced data acquisition systems, this project seeks to detect lumps beneath the skin with unprecedented accuracy. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with leading academics and clinicians, including Bristol Medical School, Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon & Gloucestershire (SWAG) Cancer Alliance, and North Bristol NHS Trust, to create life-saving technology that could transform cancer detection and significantly improve patient outcomes. As a successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in this ground-breaking research, engaging in hands-on experimental work, from designing and prototyping to iterative testing of wearable devices. Utilizing the state-of-the-art facilities at the University of Bristol, you will be at the heart of pioneering efforts that blend innovation with impact. Please note that, due to operational requirements, we would like the successful applicant to start in post as soon as possible.
