You will work within New Business Support, assisting the Systems Architect for Training solutions you will primarily be involved with Software related work which uses Virtual Reality and Gaming Technology, so an understanding of software would be hugely beneficial. You will also gain exposure to certain Project Management/Administrative activities which support the team to deliver on time, cost and quality. This role will allow you to develop a wide variety of skills whilst also gaining specialist knowledge in the world of synthetic training. You will experience a wide range of engineering activities including: Requirements Derivation Assisting with Proposal writing Bespoke Software/Hardware interfaces and embedded systems Modelling and Systems design using tools such as UML Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications Manage your time effectively to develop effective solutions to cost and quality targets Project planning, Maintenance and reporting of Budgets Preparing and Presenting Technical demonstrations Provide technical input to programme management and commercial staff and support where required in the use of LM and industry tools Any additional Programme related tasks assigned that are within area of expertise, competence and skill set. Required skills, qualifications and experience Understanding of requirements definition and interface documentation required to support the development and acceptance of solutions. Strong communication skills, and the ability to write in a clear and concise manner Positive attitude, and willingness to get involved with multiple tasks across the System Engineering lifecycle Exposure to Project Management tasks such as scheduling and monitoring budgets Experience working as part of an Agile delivery/development team (Scrum, Kanban etc) MS Office skills, particularly Excel The ability to manage tasks and priorities to ensure that assigned workload is delivered when required. Knowledge and exposure to Simulation and experience with interacting with Hardware and Software teams Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences on sometimes complex concepts Desired skills, qualifications and experience: Degree or experience in a related field Understanding of Systems Engineering tools processes and practices.
