To act as assessment co-ordinator for a division within CHFT. Supporting the division in maintaining and supporting the clinical assessment service. Working closely with Clinicians, Secretaries, Managers and admin staff, to enable patient pathways to be dealt with in a timely manner and to be the point for contact for divisional service users.
Main Duties of the Job
A position has become available to support teams in Medicine to maintain a clinical assessment service (CAS). The CAS will enable General Practitioners to book patients onto a virtual clinic so they can be clinically assessed/triaged by a clinician allowing diagnostics/appointments to be ordered. Key responsibilities will be to ensure that the CAS is kept up to date and undertaking any admin duties related to this. The post holder will be the first point of contact for the clinical team, GP surgeries and patients and should be fully conversant with elements of the E-referral system. In addition to this the post holders may be required to support the services with general administration duties where necessary.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
* GCSE English grade 9-4 (A*-C) / Functional Skills level 2 or equivalent
* GCSE maths grade 9-3 (A*-D) / Functional Skills level 1 or equivalent
* NVQ level 3 in business admin / customer service or equivalent OR equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Evidence of commitment to organisational and individual development and willing to undertake all mandatory training where required.
* Accurate keyboard skills to RSA 2 or equivalent
* Evidence of self-development
Knowledge, Experience & Expertise
* Recent relevant experience working within a patient/customer focused office environment
* Experience of using Microsoft Office package, e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Experience of working to deadlines and targets
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
* Demonstrable experience of excellent and accurate inputting skills
* Awareness of confidentiality and Information Governance
* Recent experience of working in an NHS environment
* Awareness of Local and National NHS guidelines
* Understanding of Trust policies and procedures and their impact on service delivery
* Experience of e-Referral and EPR systems
* Evidence of self-development
* Knowledge of outpatient clinics in EPR
