Due to continued expansion, our client is looking to welcome a bright and meticulous Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager and wider accounts team. What’s in it for you? Work hours: Core office hours, 40 hours per week Salary guide: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday Access to a pension scheme Collaborative, vibrant environment Accounts Assistant Responsibilities: Undertake daily banking duties, allocating payments, handling daily transactions, and making transfers Liaise with customers to take and allocate card payments Raise and process invoices for customers Post journal entries to general ledgers on a daily basis Accurately maintain all customer records, allocating funds, and ensuring the accounting system holds all relevant customer information Assist the wider finance team with credit control duties Close customer accounts, ensuring that no payments are outstanding Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets Accounts Assistant Skills and Experience: Prior experience as an account assistant/accounts administrator is preferred, and it would be a bonus if that experience was gained within a professional, corporate environment Possesses knowledge and experience in purchase ledger, sales ledger, and reconciliations Meticulous and detail-orientated, able to work with accuracy IT literate, with good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel Good communicator, able to articulate clearly and confident dealing with customers and liaising internally
