Are you a skilled TIG Welder with a passion for precision and quality? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and contribute to our growing production demands in the global energy market. This full-time role involves fabricating and inspecting standard and custom products, following established procedures, and collaborating closely with experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Fabrication: Study routing, materials, specifications, drawings, and welding parameters meticulously to prepare for fabrication, ensuring top quality.
2. Precise Setup: Set up pipework and steelwork for welding, verifying settings with precise measurements according to international standards.
3. Quality Assurance: Follow weld procedures, conduct measurements, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
4. Safety First: Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and request repairs as needed.
6. Thorough Documentation: Keep accurate records of work, including material plans, weld logs, and inspection reports.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
1. Expert Welder: Proven experience in TIG welding and flux cored arc welding, especially with pipework.
2. Certified Apprentice: Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience in welding.
3. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure high-quality welds.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
1. Visual Inspection: Experience in visual weld inspection.
2. Diverse Experience: Familiarity with stick welding, Duplex stainless steel, Super Duplex stainless steel, and Inconel fabrication.
3. Mechanical Assembly: Skills in mechanical assembly techniques.
4. NDT Techniques: Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
Hours, Salary, and Benefits:
* Hourly Rate: Starting at £20.00 per hour.
* Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts.
* Overtime: Paid at time and a half.
* Sunday Work: Double time for work on Sundays.
