This prestigious girls’ school in Richmond is renowned for its commitment to the arts, boasting a rich tradition of musical excellence. The music department is a vibrant hub of creativity, equipped with state-of-the-art practice rooms, a professional-grade recording studio, and a grand performance hall. We aim to foster a deep appreciation for music and performance, encouraging students to develop their instrumental and vocal skills, compose original pieces, and explore diverse musical genres. The school provides a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to express their individuality and collaborate on musical projects. Extracurricular activities are plentiful, including choirs, orchestras, jazz bands, and participation in regional and national music festivals.
About the Role:
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Music lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering music theory, composition, performance, and music history. This role requires the ability to develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. You will assess and monitor student progress through performances, compositions, written assignments, and practical assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. Additionally, you will contribute to departmental meetings, participate in curriculum planning, and potentially lead extracurricular music activities, fostering a passion for music among students.
