THE ROLE
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of all aspects of financial management, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial accounts, management reporting, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a team while playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the preparation and delivery of financial and management accounts, including FP&A
* Complex group consolidations and acquisition accounting
* Delivering an efficient Group statutory audit, being the key liaison with the auditors
* Group treasury with external and intercompany debt and equity funding
* Overseeing tax compliance in collaboration with external tax advisors.
* Managing a Group financial control team, providing guidance and support to achieve excellence, whilst also collaborating closely with wider finance team community across the Group.
* Developing and maintaining financial systems and controls to drive operational efficiency, including the introduction of group wide policies
* Collaborating with the Director of Finance Performance on strategic financial initiatives and business growth opportunities.
* Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory financial requirements.
About You
Skills and experience:
* Proven Financial Expertise: Significant experience as a Financial Controller in a Group environment, preferably within private equity or professional services.
* Leadership Acumen: Experience managing a finance team, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, including hands-on treasury and tax knowledge.
* Strategic Thinker: A commercial mindset with the ability to align financial strategies to business goals.
* Detail-Oriented Approach: A meticulous eye for accuracy and a passion for maintaining robust financial processes.
