We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Consultant on a long-term contract basis, leading on H&S and compliance services for green spaces and water. The overall objective is to ensure that quality assurance and compliance activities and processes are in place to meet statutory obligations.
Offering interesting projects, candidates will need to have a NEBOSH Diploma. Below are the duties and required skills and experience:
1. Audit and stress test all current processes and documentation.
2. Devise and deliver a programme of work, including a specific list of tasks.
3. Prepare a forward H&S management system based on HSG65, including a profile of resources and service staff allocation to H&S compliance tasks.
4. Demonstrate prior experience in senior-level stakeholder engagement and the ability to understand relevant policy and translate it into working arrangements.
5. Maintain a strong and consistent track record of successful service delivery outcomes across a range of services related to green and blue space.
6. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build effective working relationships and influence people at all levels.
7. Be highly motivated and able to work off their own initiative as well as in a collaborative environment.
8. Possess good decision-making skills and the ability to work at pace in a multi-complex and diverse service.
9. Have demonstrable experience of start and finish project work for health and safety that are outcome-based.
