Taggart Earthmoving Ltd is a family-owned business that has been contracting in Canterbury and the wider South Island since 1953. We specialise in large scale earthworks, site works, drainage, and demolition projects along with heavy haulage and quarry supplies. Here at Taggart, we are known for high quality workmanship and take pride in our work which has been recognised by the number of industry awards that we have received across all disciplines of the business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* All Civil Construction survey and set out requirements.
* As-built surveys and plans.
* Topographical surveys for monthly progress claim quantities
* Survey and set out for earthworks, kerb & channel, pavement, drainage, and services
* Management of survey equipment, including calibrations
Minimum Qualifications:
* New Zealand Diploma in Surveying or similar
* New Zealand Drivers Licence (Full and Clean) – Class 1 Full
* Site Safe Passport (not essential as training will be provided)
* First Aid Certificate (not essential as training will be provided)
The successful applicant shall have the following attributes:
* Working knowledge with Leica survey equipment and machine control, including 12d / Autocad
* Values equipment and takes pride in preventive maintenance
* Has a positive, “can do attitude” and the ability to work well in a team environment or independently
* Can work effectively and efficiently for extended periods of time with limited supervision
* Can make sound decisions
* High personal standards of presentation
