Production Coordinator
Location: Longton / Burton on Trent
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 07:00 - 16:00 (Monday to Friday)
Type: PERMANENT

(Please note - The role will initially be based at our client's premises in Longton until our client has moved into their new premises in Tutbury, Burton on Trent, expected to be around November 2024.)

We are currently looking for a motivated Production Coordinator to join our client's growing team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to join a growing business.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Plan and coordinate Production activities onsite, ensuring the smooth completion of customer orders, in full and to agreed timeframes.
2. Organise packing and carriage for jobs on a day-to-day basis.
3. Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
4. Maintain stock levels.
5. Put on sales & purchase orders (including bill of materials for non-standard items).
6. Run picking lists/delivery notes.
7. Enter shipping details and print shipping labels.
8. Plan production & coordinate workshop staff.
9. Liaise with carriers and haulers regarding the status of jobs and organise collections.
10. Liaise with the sales team regarding orders pending, advance notification of problems/delays, etc.
11. Container tracking and reporting.
12. Order consumables.
13. Ensure H&S procedures are strictly followed.
14. General batch control of stocked items and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed.
15. Ensure the warehouse is locked prior to leaving if the earlier shift has finished.
16. Weekend work may be required.
17. Any other duties as reasonably required.
Technical Knowledge / Qualifications:
1. Experience within a Planning role is essential.
2. Experience within a Manufacturing environment is essential.
3. Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
4. Must be a strong communicator who can quickly establish relationships at all levels.
5. Able to work well within a team and liaise effectively with internal departments.
6. Proficient using MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
7. Own transport is essential due to location.
8. FLT License is desirable.
