We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced candidate for the role of Bookkeeper/Admin person. As a Bookkeeper/Admin person, you will lead and oversee the finance and administrative operations of the company ensuring legal compliance. Experience with Quickbooks is highly preferred.
Job Description
* Assist with the maintenance of financial procedures and administrative duties.
* Responsible for raising purchase orders for the company.
* Processing supplier and customer invoices into the accounting software.
* Processing supplier payments and customer receipts into the accounting software.
* Processing monthly payroll journals.
* Reconciling the company’s various bank accounts on Quickbooks with the company’s bank statements at the end of each month.
* Preparing supplier payment runs.
* Tracking customer and supplier balances and ensuring that the customer balances are settled within the credit terms set for each customer.
* Assisting in the completion of quarterly VAT returns.
* Prepare monthly financial statements including cash flow statements, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
* Assist in preparing employee payroll data each month.
* Assisting with various administrative duties as required ensuring the smooth running of the company.
* Provide administrative support to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
* Strong accounting background with relevant experience.
* Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
* Be able to take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility.
* Constantly thrive to improve administrative processes.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of Quickbooks is preferred but training can be given.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
