Role: Firearms Training Administrator

Salary: £26,106 - £28,653 (Pro rata if part-time)
Location: Hessle
Hours: 37 Hours per week (Full-Time)

As a Firearms Training Administrator, the post holder will be required to provide administrative support to the Firearms Training function, which develops, leads, manages and delivers accredited firearms training for all firearms roles within Humberside Police.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide administrative support for all types of internal and external training events within the unit.
* Maintains departmental records and filing systems, updating and preparing within appropriate timescales.
* Receives bookings for courses from both internal and external customers.
* Provides administrative support in raising and monitoring all purchase orders within the FTDU.
* Resolves any day-to-day issues with building functionality and maintenance.
* Be the initial point of contact for day-to-day queries.
* Monitor targets, provide management information, and reports as required.
* Review work processes with a view to making improvements and efficiencies.
What the role requires:
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
* Recent experience in a clerical environment.
* Experience of creating and maintaining computer systems including databases/spreadsheets.
* Has current working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages including Word, Excel/Access.
* Plans, organises and supervises activities to make sure resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve organisational goals.
* Ability to prioritise workloads and understands when to escalate to supervisors when appropriate.
