Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (“Yee Hong”) is one of the largest not-for-profit, culturally-appropriate seniors care organizations in Canada. Clerk, Yee Hong Garden Terrace - Temporary Full Time until Jan 17th, 2025
Provides courteous, efficient and informative telephone and reception service for Yee Hong Garden Terrace (YHGT), and administrative support to the Management Office.
1. Provides courteous, efficient and informative telephone and reception service for YHGT, promoting a positive image of YHGT. Relays accurate message to team members.
2. Assists in the channeling of all incoming mail and fax to the appropriate parties efficiently and accurately. Processes outgoing mail.
3. Coordinates room booking for meetings and functions.
4. Ensures that the Reception area is kept neat and tidy, and that information pamphlets are current and adequate.
5. Ensures safe custody of receipts and maintains accurate record of fees, ticket sales and expenditures.
6. Updates and follows up the property work order completion.
7. Updates the notice boards and ensures the information posted is up-to-date and accurate.
8. Provides daily work schedules to Home Support Workers.
9. Maintains key record log book on contractors and visitors, timely updates non-motion access card and safety systems.
10. Assists in mass program/activities in YHGT, such as fire drill, precautionary maintenance programs, as requested.
11. Keeps up-to-date with developments and best practices in the field.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school completed; secretarial training an asset.
* Minimum 1 year receptionist or secretarial experience.
* Good data entry skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word); Knowledge of Chinese word processing an asset.
* Good interpersonal skills with pleasant and friendly manner.
Working Condition:
* 24 hours/7 days emergency response and on-call services for building maintenance, emergency and safety matters.
* Occasional meetings in evenings and weekends.
* This is a Temporary Full Time position until January 17th, 2025.
