Job Advert: Locum Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – CMHT Adults
We are currently recruiting a dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) supporting individuals aged 18 to 65. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate mental health professional to provide care coordination and support to those in need.
Role Overview:
Position: Band 6 CPN – Adult CMHT
Location: Reading area
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
Rate: £26.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Duration: Start ASAP, ongoing for a minimum of 3 months
Remote Working: Part remote working available – flexible team
Car Driver: Essential
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of up to 30 individuals with varying mental health needs.
Provide care coordination under the Care Programme Approach (CPA), including assessments, care planning, and reviews.
Deliver evidence-based interventions to support recovery and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
Conduct community visits as required, ensuring a person-centred approach.
Essential Requirements:
Current NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (CPN).
Experience in community mental health services.
Familiarity with the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
Full UK driving license and access to a car for community visits.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
