Role Description: We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to be part of our Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ACR) team, to deliver both theory and practical sessions and to also undertake reviews in the workplace. You will plan, deliver, and assess identified vocational programmes including commercial activities and drive developments within the area, supporting apprentices to achieve on a range of programmes. As well as carrying a teaching load, this role will assess/review apprentices completing ACR Apprenticeships in the workplace and will support the apprentices’ progress through the relevant programmes at intermediate and advanced levels. The role requires monitored visits to see apprentices and employers in the workplace, as well as frequent attendance at the Station Park Centre, liaising with technical delivery staff and supporting apprentices with the knowledge requirements. The successful candidate would be within the Mansfield area or reside at a location that allows a daily commute to our Station Park Centre. It is essential to have industrial experience within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sector and experience of teaching and or assessing within the training sector or FE environment. This is a hands-on teaching, assessing and reviewing role, taught both onsite at our Construction and Building Services centre and at employer’s premises. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate, design, and deliver apprenticeship programs in college and at employer sites. Support apprentices in meeting all required standards by working closely with employers. Regularly review apprentices' progress and prepare them for end-point assessments. Develop best practices in teaching, assessment, and resource creation. Act as a personal tutor, monitor attendance, and maintain behavior standards. Stay updated with industry and curriculum developments and contribute to program reviews. Maintain records, ensure communication between all parties, and uphold college policies, including Equality, Diversity, and Health & Safety. Represent the college positively and undertake additional duties as required. Contract Types: This is a term time only position, payment is based on the hours worked. In this arrangement, the pay is directly linked to the amount of time invested in work responsibilities. Holiday and time spent off from work is NOT paid. Payment is on a monthly basis and is one month in arrears. It is paid via PAYE therefore tax and NI is deducted where applicable. Statutory holiday is accrued for every hour worked. All holiday pay is paid at the same time as your normal monthly pay for hours worked. On a permanent basis, the role is all year-round and paid a month in hand. For more details, please reach out. A-C in Maths and English. Proficiency in IT is advantageous.
