Job Description:
This role involves providing objective occupational health advice to support HIOWC in managing its workforce effectively. Responsibilities include offering advice and support to individuals, managers, and the organization to promote effective health management, retention of skills, and successful return to work.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical assessment of individuals' health and fitness related to their roles, maintaining objectivity and impartiality per OH guidelines.
2. Ensure appointments are available in person, via phone, or TEAMS as needed.
3. Be available to travel to various locations across HIOWC for clinics and appointments.
4. Undertake health surveillance in accordance with legal requirements.
5. Obtain specialist reports and liaise with healthcare professionals to support rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
6. Provide clinical advice during recruitment and selection processes for police officers and staff.
Essential Qualifications:
* Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
* Occupational Health Degree.
* Training in health surveillance techniques such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
* Significant clinical experience evidence.
