As a Senior Design Engineer, you will apply your expertise and passion into engineering our seating products through customisation and reconfiguration to suit the customer's requirements for installation on different airframes. In addition, you will take ownership in delivering work packages within the applications engineering function, achieving on time product delivery and compliance to the regulatory requirements. Working closely with other Mirus functional teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure effective & efficient configuration, customisation and design of aircraft seating products. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES: In your role as our Senior Design Engineer, you will: Engineer our seating products through customisation and reconfiguration to customer's requirements and installations on different airframes. Deliver work packages for linefit and retrofit engineering projects, achieving on time product delivery, to specification, ensuring compliance to the airframe and regulatory (CAA, EASA and FAA) requirements. Generate and contribute to the generation of customer delivery timing plans, and actively engage in measures to adhere to plan. Conduct presentations externally at critical reviews to the customer Liaise with certification, test and stress teams to ensure designs meet the structural and aircraft airworthiness requirements About you To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a design engineering capacity, a passion for problem solving, attention to detail, innovative thinking and drive for operational excellence along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes: Experience of delivering aircraft interiors product that is compliant to the airframe spec and CAA, EASA & FAA regulatory requirements Experience of delivering product in an aircraft seating environment Desirable: Experience within the aerospace/automotive sectors Experience within a serial production line manufacturing environment Experience in the latest manufacturing techniques such as injection mouldings, vacuum forming, castings, forgings, extrusions and machining from solid Aircraft cabin interior exposure Personal skills / attributes: Diligent, enthusiastic, and driven, with an excellent work ethic, and a “can do” attitude Good personal time management and comfortable working to deadlines Highly adaptable and capable of making decisions in a fast and pressured environment A team player Our benefits We offer some fantastic benefits including: Enhanced company pension.
