About Us: Market Field College is a specialist college for students aged 16-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are dedicated to providing our students with a purposeful, supportive and enriching educational environment. The Role: We are seeking to expand our dedicated Employment Team to support our students in accessing a variety of work experience opportunities. This is a fantastic chance for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people with SEN. Work experience is a mandatory component of all study programmes at Market Field College. The type and level of support provided during placements depend on the individual and the Pathway they are enrolled in. This includes individual, small group, and whole group work experiences. Work experience encompasses all forms of work-related activities, including work tasters, enterprise projects, social action projects, volunteering, placements with external employers, and supported internships. Our Employment Team also supports the development of Community Learning for our lower-level Pathway groups. Key Responsibilities: Job Coaching : Provide personalised job coaching to students, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for the workplace. Individualised Support : Demonstrate an understanding of the unique needs of each learner and tailor approaches to provide the appropriate type and level of support, ensuring each student can thrive in their work placement and achieve their personal goals. Collaboration: Work closely with the Employment Team and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach. Assist with Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local employers, community, and voluntary groups to secure work experience placements and other opportunities for students. Supporting Community Engagement: Identify and develop opportunities for community learning by liaising with community partners and bringing these opportunities to fruition. Assist the Coordination of Work Experience: Assist in the development and coordination of all types of work-related activities (including work tasters, enterprise activities, social action projects, volunteering, placements with external employers, and Supported Internships).
