Job Description
A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Engineer to contribute to LiNa Energy, a pioneering clean-tech battery technology company focused on achieving global net-zero targets.
Leveraging its pilot line in Lancaster as the foundation, LiNa Energy aims to rapidly scale up low-cost sodium cell production. We seek a hands-on individual eager to collaborate in a renewable energy start-up environment through meaningful technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and further develop LiNa's cutting-edge electrolyte production line, ensuring quality and throughput management while refining processes for effective transfer and improvement from the R&D facility.
* Collaborate with the R&D team to formulate and refine ink formulations for scaled-up production.
* Perform and refine QC of LiNa's electrolytes to guarantee faultless delivery.
* Work with the manufacturing and quality team to establish SOPs and process parameters for pilot-scale and future large-scale production.
* Adhere to chemical and laboratory work safety principles, operational efficiency, and timely delivery.
* Maintain equipment, communicating upgrade, repair, or operational issue needs.
* Promote process scalability from pilot scale to Mega/Giga scale within the manufacturing team.
Key Skills and Experience:
* 4+ Years of industrial experience in material production or material development (ideally working with ceramics).
Preferred Skills and Experience (not essential):
* Experience working on semi-automated production lines.
* Knowledge of high-temperature firing processes.
* BEng or BSc in Process/Chemical Engineering or Physical Chemistry.
* Yellow Belt + in Lean Six Sigma.
