CMM Inspector. Join our client's innovative and industry-leading manufacturing company, where quality and precision drive their success. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join their team and contribute to ensuring excellence in our manufacturing processes.
CMM Inspector Key Responsibilities:
1. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
2. Conducting first-off sample inspections for manufactured components.
3. Creating and running CMM programs using various software platforms, including M-Cosmos, Calypso, and Polyworks.
4. Inspecting additional attributes such as material hardness, material composition, and surface finish.
5. Performing 3D laser scanning and generating detailed inspection reports.
6. Performing gear geometry inspections.
7. Creating and maintaining accurate inspection documentation and reports.
8. Collaborating with design and quality engineers to discuss inspection results and provide insights.
9. Supporting engineers with specific inspection requirements.
10. Conducting Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and generating corresponding documentation.
11. Utilising statistical process control to ensure process quality and consistency.
12. Assisting with special projects and undertaking additional duties as required by the Manager.
CMM Inspector Skills / Experience Required:
1. Proven experience in an automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
2. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with a sound knowledge of GD&T.
3. Experience with CMM inspection processes.
Hours: Monday - Friday days, 39 hours per week
