An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our Volvo Dealership in Leamington Spa. The hours of work are 08:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a rota basis. Basic Salary up to £36,000 with OTE up to £42,000 plus benefits.
The Workshop Controller is responsible for ensuring maximum productivity in the workshop, liaising between Service Advisors and Technicians, ensuring that all required work is actioned effectively and efficiently.
Description
1. Meeting customers and providing them with a seamless service, from drop off to vehicle handover.
2. Updating customers with progress on their vehicle.
3. Liaising with the Workshop, Parts, and Sales department to ensure customers' vehicles are ready on time.
4. Managing the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
5. Managing a team of Technicians ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
6. Providing focused management to the service department team, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
7. Ensuring processes are always adhered to.
8. Conducting regular process reviews with your Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues/discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken to rectify.
9. Managing the performance of the workshop to ensure that KPI targets are achieved.
10. Managing and planning workshop/support resources to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled.
11. Supporting the department team as required and ensuring that all work is completed on time.
12. Supporting the service department with specifications and coding of non-standard, complex jobs and ensuring all such work is approved with customers prior to any work being started.
13. Managing the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer (Retail or Internal).
What we're looking for:
This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked within a dealership as either a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman, or Experienced Workshop Controller and is looking to Listers for more opportunities to progress.
