Job summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedFinancial Accountantto join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the companys financial reporting and consolidation process. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the groups financial data, support compliance with regulatory standards, and provide valuable insights to facilitate strategic decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the companys ambitious growth plans. This role offers hybrid/remote working with the occasional need to attend the Runcorn office as and when required. Main duties of the job As Financial Accountant you will: Group Reporting and Consolidation: Maintain and develop group accounting policies and ensure compliance across subsidiaries. Assist in any queries arising from the monthly consolidation process. Statutory Compliance: Assist in the coordination of the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries. Assist in the management of the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors. Ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements. Financial Controls and Processes: Develop and maintain robust financial controls across the group. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support the implementation of financial systems and tools as required. Taxation and Regulatory Reporting: Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and other tax-related filings. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and regulations. Business Partnering and Support: Collaborate with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure alignment with group objectives. Provide technical accounting advice and support for complex transactions. Support ad-hoc financial projects, including acquisitions and integrations.
