Job Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Paediatric Intensive Care at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 05 February 2025 until 06 May 2025.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will work mainly in the Paediatric Department. Clinical and administrative duties will be equivalent to those working as Specialty Registrars.
The post holder will participate on the Middle Grade out of hours rota, which is a full shift pattern.
Those applying for a PICU post from a paediatric background should have had at least six months previous experience of NICU, and one year in Paediatrics; PICU experience is desirable.
Applications would also be welcomed from individuals with at least two years of experience of Anaesthesia, or Accident and Emergency; previous experience in PICU/AICU is essential.
In all cases, MRCPCH or equivalent is essential.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Job Responsibilities
Post holders will gain experience in Paediatric Intensive and High Dependency Care, including conventional and high frequency oscillatory ventilation, and transitional care.
Support for study leave will be given and participation in research and audit activities is strongly encouraged, although the training opportunities associated with these posts will be equal to those for the Specialty Registrars in the department.
