IT Engineer | 2nd line | Desktop | Networking
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £35-40K
Onsite: 5 days per week (Mon-Fri)
My client based in Hitchin is looking for an experienced IT support candidate to join their internal team.
Key Duties:
1. Manage all user queries to completion and within acceptable time scales.
2. Escalate problematic user queries to the IT manager and work with him to resolve.
3. Liaise with third-party support providers to resolve any user queries.
4. Ensure relevant software is installed, licensed, up to date, and available to appropriate users in a timely manner.
5. Office 365 Administration of user accounts and permissions.
6. Monitor patch management, network, and Wi-Fi logs; investigate and repair any failures.
7. Configure and set up workstations to the company specifications.
8. Configure and support routers and access points.
Requirements:
1. At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably with a good understanding of networking.
2. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
3. Customer-oriented attitude.
4. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
6. Experience working in an IT support (Windows) environment is essential.
7. Experience with Microsoft technologies: 365, AD/Server OS, networking, IP connectivity, and backup solutions.
8. Must have a valid driver's license; a company car will be provided.
