The Arts Council is seeking a full-time, Head of Local and Place Partnerships.
This role is critical for the Arts Council in its statutory responsibility to promote and develop the arts across the country and in the achievement of its strategic priorities under Making Great Art Work. The Local and Place Partnerships Manager manages the partnership relationship and shared agenda of the Council with local government and with individual local authorities, alongside a variety of other public stakeholders throughout Ireland. The role also includes national flagship initiatives such as Culture Night and Creative Places at which local authorities play a critical role in delivery.
In this role, the Local and Place Partnerships Manager will work with the Combined Arts Director, all art form and arts practice teams, and the Strategic Development Department to ensure that the Arts Council’s commitment to Local Arts and place-based approaches to investment is appropriately incorporated into strategic decision-making, policy-making, and planning.
As a manager, the Local and Place Partnerships Manager is expected to effectively contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s strategic goals. They should act as an effective link within and across the organisation as well as managing and brokering partnerships with a range of public sector stakeholders.
