Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with a fast-growing Construction & Civil organisation based in Flintshire, seeking a hands-on and proactive HSQE Manager.
This organisation aims to match the growth of the Health & Safety function with the growth of the business.
The ideal candidate would be either an ambitious Advisor with significant experience implementing management systems in a Civil or Construction organisation, or a successful and proactive manager with a track record of working with site teams, interacting with clients and key stakeholders, and holding them accountable for HSQE performance.
Working as a stand-alone HSQE manager, you will:
* Develop, maintain, and implement Health & Safety processes on all sites and hold site teams accountable.
* Implement RAMS on site and conduct site audits ensuring site teams are performing according to H&S legislation.
* Develop digital solutions to Health & Safety improving both performance and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with external bodies and liaise with external auditors.
* Implement environmental policies ensuring minimal environmental impact.
* Manage near miss and accident reporting, ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a construction-based Health & Safety role with a growth mindset, seeking a role with autonomy. You will have control and accountability of all Health & Safety processes and therefore will have the ability to plan your own workload efficiently.
You will be willing to travel across North Wales, Northwest England, with occasional trips to South Wales, and build rapport and Health & Safety culture with site teams. Ideally, you will also have environmental experience and a track record of solving environmental issues.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to grow with a small business and be an integral part of the management team.
£50k - £55k (DOE) is available to the correct candidate.
