The Communities Division at Mitie is hiring a Cloud Automation Lead to digitise and automate our AE Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) processes and enhance our SharePoint document management system with Microsoft integrations. This includes tools like PowerApps, Power Automate, and Active Directory integration. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Authorising Engineer (Communities) to develop solutions that advance our vision of creating an efficient, forward-thinking AE division that thrives on data.
Role Overview:
As the Cloud Automation Lead, you will develop Power Apps and SharePoint solutions and configure SharePoint for the Communities Division. You'll write, modify and build web applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and various web development tools. Additionally, you will customize SharePoint systems to meet the Communities Division's business specifications, ensuring compliance with Mitie's Information Systems (IS) policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Ideally, you will have, or be working towards, a degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience:
We are flexible in our requirements—whether you're a recent graduate or an established professional, we are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in programming and developing with Power Apps and Power Automate, Power BI development, configuring, audits in SaaS systems and programming using RESTful Web Services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communication: Conduct regular meetings to review and discuss business requirements for application and website functionality to ensure alignment with business needs. Liaise with IS representatives and present work to senior stakeholders, simplifying technical information as needed.
* Configure Systems: Adjust and configure our SharePoint systems to meet the Communities Division's demands.
* Development: Tasked with developing a variety of solutions using different tools and programs.
* Extending SharePoint Functions: Collaborate with the CAE and the wider team to enhance our SharePoint functions using different forms, application technology, and web parts.
* Coding: Regularly write, test, and debug programming code to ensure the system operates correctly.
* Maintaining SharePoint: Regularly maintain and update various SharePoint applications as needed.

* The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex software issues to non-IT professionals effectively. Essential skills include:
* Coding: Strong coding capabilities, necessary for rewriting and debugging code daily.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and swiftly resolve complex software-related issues.
* Communication: Skilled in discussing requirements with business sponsors and implementing solutions. This includes training other employees to unravel the operating systems effectively.
* Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with different team members, including designers, business sponsors, and IS department members. Communication and teamwork are key to productivity and success.
