Role Overview
As the Project Manager - ICP, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of independent connection projects, overseeing the coordination between clients, contractors, and local distribution networks. This role requires a solid understanding of ICP processes, along with a strong commitment to ethical power practices and regulatory compliance. You will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery.
What will I be doing?
1. Lead and manage Independent Connections Provider (ICP) projects, ensuring all phases—from design, procurement, and installation to commissioning—are executed efficiently.
2. Oversee the coordination with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), clients, and contractors to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.
3. Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Implement safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to Ethical Power Ltd’s sustainability policies.
5. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, industry standards, and best practices in independent connections.
6. Regularly report on project progress, costs, risks, and performance metrics to senior management and clients.
7. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders.
8. Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues to minimize project delays or cost overruns.
9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, looking for opportunities to innovate and optimize project processes.
What are we looking for?
1. Experience in managing ICP projects within the energy or utility sectors.
2. Strong knowledge of Independent Connections Provider processes, including connection designs, installation, and commissioning.
3. Familiarity with electrical regulations and industry standards, including DNO requirements and relevant safety guidelines.
4. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
5. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and cost control systems.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
