ACT (Aspiring Communities Together) is a community organisation based in Burngreave in Sheffield. We deliver services that aim to tackle persistent social and economic disadvantages and educational underachievement to the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME). Our vision is an area with reduced inequalities and improved access and opportunity for the local community. Through our Healthy Living Centre which includes a women only gym and a café, we deliver inspiring and innovative services in health, employment, training, social and physical activities for adults and children. ACT is built on the strengths of the local BAMER community and widens people’s horizons in a journey of change.
Job Description
We are looking for CELTA/TRINITY TESOL qualified teachers (teaching cert or PGCE) with at least 6 months of experience to teach English to adults. We are recruiting teachers initially for a tutor bank for short courses including ESOL, Literacy, and Employability Skills.
