Vetting and Onboarding Team Leader
Location: Bedford College Campus
Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover to August 2026)
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday – Friday)

What You'll Be Doing:
1. Leading and managing our Onboarding and Vetting team to ensure a smooth and proactive experience for all new hires.
2. Overseeing compliance, ensuring all onboarding activities align with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), GDPR, and HR best practices.
3. Driving improvements, refining processes, and keeping up with legislation to enhance efficiency and engagement.
4. Providing expert guidance, acting as the primary point of escalation for stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with our policies.
5. Maintaining and reporting on key performance metrics, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
6. Experience in HR, onboarding, or recruitment processes, with strong knowledge of compliance and best practices.
7. Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a team.
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, ensuring an engaging and efficient onboarding journey.
9. Strong IT skills, including proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
10. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
