Permanent
The Role:
The Mental Health South team in Worcestershire focuses on supporting and empowering individuals to achieve optimal mental well-being, reach their goals, and maximize their quality of life. We collaborate closely with colleagues in health, commissioning, housing, safeguarding, and other partner agencies to create innovative care plans, manage risk, and support discharge plans from out-of-county and rehab mental health wards. We support individuals aged 18+ with functional mental health conditions and co-morbidities, as well as facilitate the transition from children's to adult services when required.
We are passionate about staff development within the team and are a supportive, dynamic, and person-centered group of practitioners. Currently, we have staff undertaking apprenticeships to become qualified social workers, completing their ASYE, and those undertaking AMHP training, alongside staff in champion roles in specific areas of interest. We encourage regular reflection through monthly practice sessions and have access to the social work academy, which offers a range of training opportunities. We also have practice educators in the team and regularly welcome students on placement.
We are looking for dynamic and passionate social workers to join our specialist team.
